How to Make Buttermilk

All you need to make buttermilk are two ingredients that you’re sure to have in your home!

  • 1-2 Tablespoon freshly squeezed (strained of seeds and pulp) lemon juice OR white vinegar
  • 1 cup milk of choice

Instructions:

  1. Pour 1 cup of milk into a bowl.
  2. Stir one or two Tablespoons of lemon juice or white vinegar into the milk.
  3. Let sit for 5 minutes, until the milk begins to curdle and become acidic.
  4. Use in recipe in place of buttermilk. Do NOT drink. It wont taste good. Just sayin’ 😉
